Dr. Xi, Guang is now the Vice President of Xi’an Jiaotong University; the Professor of Fluid Machinery and Engineering, School of Energy and Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University; the Director of National Engineering Research Center for Fluid Machinery and Compressors；the Deputy Director Member of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermo-physics(CSET) and the Director of Fluid Machinery Subsection of CSET.
His research interests mainly include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Method and Its Application, Centrifugal Compressor Design Optimization Theory and Its Application, Micro Gas Turbine Research and Development, Petrochemical Centrifugal Compressor Research and Development and so on. He has published more than 200 technical papers in Journals and Conferences, and awarded many prizes and honors such as National 2nd prize for Science and Technology Progress (issued by The State Council), 2005; 1st prize for Science and Technology Progress (issued by Ministry of Education), 2004; China Youth Science and Technology Reward, 1998; 1st prize for Science and Technology Progress (issued by Ministry of Education), 1994; Gold Medal in the Sixth Invention Exposition of China, 1991 and so on.
