Dr. Chuhua Zhang is a professor at Department of Fluid Machinery and Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, the director of Shaanxi Province International Joint Research Center of Fluid Machinery, a member of Fluid Machinery Committee of Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics (CSET). He was awarded the New Century Excellent Talent in university by the China Ministry of Education in 2006, the first group of Young Scholar Program by Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2007. He was financially supported by more than forty research grants including the first group of national key research and development program in China in 2016. He published more than 150 papers, 4 monographs and text-books, and educated more than 60 graduate students. Besides, Prof. Zhang is currently the member of editorial board for Journal of Thermal Science, Journal of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Chinese Journal of Turbomachinery. 

His main research interest lies in:
Ø Turbo-compressor aerodynamics and design optimization methods
Ø Parallel computational fluid dynamics
Ø Gas turbine aero-thermodynamics
